#WomenOfTheScriptures Susanna: 🤔 ..Who is Susanna?

🤷🏾‍♀️What did she do so bad or great to be NOT only mentioned, but she has a whole Book about her...Let's see what the scripture says:

Book of Susanna 1:1-4 There dwelt a man in Babylon, called Joacim: And he took a wife, whose name was Susanna, the daughter of Chelcias, a very fair woman, and one that feared the Lord. Her parents also were righteous, and taught their daughter according to the law of Moses. Now Joacim was a great rich man, and had a fair garden joining unto his house: and to him resorted the Jews; because he was more honourable than all others.

🎯So we see 4 important things here:

1. Most importantly, she feared The Most High.[Proverbs 31:30]

2. She was fair or beautiful [ Sirach 36:22]

3. She came from good stock! Her parents were RIGHTEOUS and taught her the laws [Pro 22:6]

4. She was married to a "great man" [Proverbs 31:23]

♥️Now seeing what I typed above and the scripture, u see why this will be a powerful read! Susanna has VIRTUOUS written all over her! Yet, even with a good upbringing and great husband she was still tested.

📌Verse 5-6 reads: The same year were appointed two of the ancients of the people to be judges, such as the Lord spake of, that wickedness came from Babylon from ancient judges, who seemed to govern the people. These kept much at Joacim's house: and all that had any suits in law came unto them

👉🏾Here we have two "elders" who were appointed to judge .. the were always at The House of Joacim.. ok the plot thickens, let's stir this guy a bit.. 🤔..without giving all here lol.. I am going to say that may have been the issue here.. why were these men always over there?? Were the judging? Giving lessons?? What?

👉🏾Let's find out in our next blog on Tuesday🙏🏾 FATHER willing❤️
