Shalom!! Sorry for the lateness!! But this segment isn’t really long.. just want to hit on a few points as we look at Miriam and learn how to #PeelBacktheLayers what can we take away from her mishaps?!
The Bible calls Miriam a prophetesses in Exodus 15:20, which makes sense because her brothers were called prophets. 🤚🏾Before one of you uses this passage as a reference to usurp authority over men... I implore you to read Exodus 15:20-22 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea... ...As we see here, Miriam was exhibiting Traits like her brothers to gather the women to pray.. So as we can see all the women of the scriptures we have spoken about so far , each had a purpose.. as do you.
Miriam has some lessons we can use in regards to #PeelingBackTheLayers! She knew what it was to deal with a range of emotions! She had hope but then was hopeless. She was fearful, yet fearless!! She was a woman of great reverence and sis still acted out! She is you and me... As I said before we are all striving to be perfect and Miriam has something to teach us!! One thing is trusting in The Most Highs timing realizing that we all have a purpose... when you tap in to yours don’t lose sight... it’s super easy to lose sight when you are easily distracted!
So what do we know off the back about Sis Miriam, well she was said to be the sister that saved Moses from being killed when the order was sent to kill all Hebrew boys... then along side Moses and Aaron, she was there as they lead the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land! Seems like an ok sister right? Hmmm, let’s see so this is where I want to start since we are currently doing a 30 day of #NoComplainingSis I felt it was fitting to start here:
Miriam, like most of us fell into they pesky spirit of complaining along with her brother Aaron BUT as we see in Numbers 12:1, she complained 1st!! . It appears they were upset that Moses didn’t marry a Hebrew woman Numbers 12:1-And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. Miriam is named first in so it is likely she instigated the complaint. But, what business of hers was who Moses married? This is how we know it was an underlying issue, (sounds familiar) Verse 2 which basically asks, do The Most High ONLY speak through Moses?? Hasn’t he ALSO spoken through us?...Now I’m sure she was clearly OUT of her mind In the moment of her delusions lol!! Why do I say she was delusional... she had to be!! Miriam was questioning The Most High as to HIS reasoning for choosing Moses as the leader.

Let’s pause!! Now, I want you to self examine and really think about this... and answer this question honestly! Who has questioned The Most High? Now if u answered “not me”... take a minute and revisit the question and then answer! Because we all have! Now, especially Miriam seeing what she saw, why would she question now? ... AND we will see if she got an answer 📣
