#WomenOfTheScriptures: Mary, a woman of submission!

Before we move further, I wanted to mention this scripture Friday but I forgot to add it! Job 31:15 (KJV) Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb? So, HE knew who Mary was and how she would be apart of HIS plan..

#WomenOfTheScriptures Now... Mary is the example of Total submission! She submitted to parents(not even understanding scriptures.. but just a child (Matthew 18:3), then they taught her about The Most High, she was TOTALLY submissive to HIM.. which prepared her to be submissive to her husband... see the order here? Tomorrow will be the final act, #WWYD ... to find out what WWYD means be sure to set your notifications!!

Now let’s back up.. because this is mentioned below... Sooo if we start at the beginning of Luke 1, we see the same Angel visited Elisabeth, who was barren, and told her she would have a son, and she is to name him John, He also gave instructions on how the child should be raised.. see the play? The Most High has it all planned out because we know how John played a part in our Messiah walk.

👉🏾Luke 1: 35-38 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of The Most High. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy

Read that last sentence again... Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy.. Mary, inquisitive of course just asked how will this happen since I have not known a man... she was answered that the Set Apart spirit (Holy Ghost) would come upon her and that’s it! She will be with child.. Now, if we are being transparent here how many would have gave the answer Mary did? She just agreed.. even thou she was betrothed to Joseph.. and she had to have wondered how he would take this amazing gift. We have to travel to Matthew 1:18-25 to find out, so to paraphrase Joseph I’m sure was a bit alarmed because in those times a woman was to be a Virgin when she became engaged (betrothed).. An engagement REQUIRED a woman to remain not only virtuous.. but also chaste, and ANY unfaithfulness to her future or present husband was considered to be adultery. And remember you paid for sin immediately in those days and we know what the payment was. Ok, so Joseph being a righteous man, still loved Mary even after finding out she was with Child, I’m sure he was baffled because remember she was a woman of virtue!  Matthew 1:19 says Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily BUT then .... he began to think on these things... he was at war within himself... keep or put away... I am sure he knows Yah hates divorce! However I am sure he thought of the shame it could bring... The stares..As we know The Most High knows our hearts so I am sure HE saw Joseph struggling with what to do..and Joseph had a dream....

🛡Takeaway: We should follow Mary’s example when we get these pop up things that we question.. even when we KNOW it’s of The Most High.. yet we are still scared at not just knowing the outcome.. or the details.. however we must remember there are levels to this thing called faith.. so don’t be surprised when HE pulls your faith card.. will you say yes, I will FATHER without question? Mary was totally submissive to The Most High Proverbs 3:6 (hence why she was able to also submit wholeheartedly to Joseph Ephesians 5:22)...and Mary just agreed and no longer feared, not because she wasn’t scared but because she surrendered to HIS will..Proverbs 31:25. 🤔do u think she had a choice? I always wondered that!
