#WomenOfTheScriptures Hannah: An Answered Prayer

Writer's picture: #DontDeleteMeSis#DontDeleteMeSis

Shalom!! Happy 1st Day of The Week! I will try my best to make this one short I promise sis! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ’•We left off where sis Hannah was no longer of a low countenance.. weeping no more BUT only after she spoke a prayer.. and confirmation from the Eli, the priest Iโ€™m sure gave her much assurance that she was on the right path ..she stopped sulking in self and sought the comfort of The Most High! She poured her trust into knowing HE will move oh HIS time therefore itโ€™s NO need to sulk.. sulk for what when Hannah knew 4 things!

  1. Her POWER is real

  2. Her husband supported her

  3. She wasnโ€™t going to let the adversary control her (reactions)

  4. WHO she serves

Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:19-22ย And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah KNEW Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.Wherefore it came to pass, when the TIME was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the Lord. And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the Lord the yearly sacrifice, and his vow. But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the Lord, and there abide for ever.

Hannah conceived!! (Read that again)... She also bore a son, Samuel who became a great man of The Most High! Now, Hannah I am sure was elated, however she remembered her vow and did as she promised.. Read the verses 23-38! And 1 Samuel 2-19 yโ€™all have to read this prayer She prayed of thanks to The Most High!! She proclaims in verse 27 For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath GIVEN me my petition which I ASKED of him!! (Matt 7:7 says Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:) she asked and her womb was opened.. for a purpose! So yes The Most High will give accordingly..HIS will, not ours and we have to trust HE knows best!

Now Hannah keeps her vow (unlike many of us.. we cry out of Father if u make a way for me.. I will never do xyz or my fave, I will spend more time with you.. and once HE keeps HIS word, do we??) So here in 1 Samuel 2 has Hannah giving some serious praise to The Most High and letting It be known that HE is.. HE given the and take the, brings hi and brings low.. Hereโ€™s the thing, Hannah was satisfied with Samuel living with Eli, the Priest even though she didnโ€™t have her child, she had HIS answered prayer. HIS promise. And that was enough to sustain her. BUT look what happens: 1 Sam 2: 20ย And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home. 21ย And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and BARE three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ“ฃ

๐Ÿ›ก#TakeAway-What Hannah didnโ€™t realize is while HE gave Hannah her desires.. while she wanted a baby, what if her heart desires were different and even she didnโ€™t know!! Maybe her desire was to see inadvertently, HIS promises for her??.. because Psalm 37:4 ..says HE will give you the desires of your heart! And while a baby is what she wanted, HIS purpose for Samuel was to be raised by Eli to become a priest see Eliโ€™s sons were not WORHTY and HE needed a man of valor. What can we learn from Hannah? For me, it was After we have done all we can do, and the burden is still there, we can ask The Most High in faith to either sustain us in our trial, or lift the burdens off of our shoulders so we cannot feel them; or, we can make a vow with the promise of making a personal sacrifice to receive the desired blessing and hope it is in HIS plan to say yes, but if he says no... then we should be fine with that as well as HIS will is done which means Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he SHALL sustain theeโ€ฆPsalms 55:22 so itโ€™s a win win!!

Hannah's trust and faith in The Most Highโ€™s timing is impeccable! Itโ€™s what I wanted to focus on because this is what kept her hopeful in what we would deem as hopeless circumstances. See, The Most High plan was greater than her pain, but HE knew she could endure.. Are you not any better than Hannah.. what purpose does your pain portray? And will you trust HIM to endure... When you think about it.. the answered prayer was more than a physical birth..๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ—ฃ
