We left off yesterday with these 10 virgins with 10 lamps who were preparing to meet the bridegroom. We saw from the gate, 5 were wise, and brought extra oil for their lamps, and the other 5 were foolish and only took their lamps with the oil in it. It makes me ponder on this walk. We are to be the light, however if we don't have enough "oil" to keep the lamp lit, then what? How do we be the example for others to guide them out of darkness, if we dont even have enough "oil" to keep the light burning? Psalms 18:28 says For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. So, here we see The Most High will light our candles..So HE is giving us the oil (HIS word) but the gist is KEEPING it lit.. Luke 12:32-38 #SomebodyWillGetThisOnTheSecondRead! So, how do we keep this lamp filled with oil? Let's get into these scripts!🕯
Matthew 25:6-9 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
📯When the trumpet sounds my sisters.. you wont' have time to GET ready.. You got to stay prepared so when you hear the cry.. you will be able to act. Don't be foolish! There won't be time to run to Walmart or order some oil.. AND as we see here, ain't nobody about to give you none of their oil. #TruthIs Why should they? SO the cry was made and the foolish then realizes they are out of oil. So they turn to the wise women and say, "GIVE us of your oil".. The wise was like, No, then there won't be enough for our journey, go find someone who sell them and buy some oil. This was lawful for them to tell them that. I know some sisters would give of their oil, just because they feel sorry for them. But tisk, tisk. Proverbs 6:6-8 - Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise..etc. BE LIKE the ant, stay prepared. I implore yall to read that scripture and write it on the tablet of your heart. The gist can be found in James 2:24 - Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. While all 10 of these women were moving on faith, only 5 walked.
Proverbs 31:30 - Favour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:26 - She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness.
👉🏾The foolish women I am sure was aware of the journey ahead..yet they CHOSE to do whatever instead of being prepared which also shows lack of discretion, discipline, and direction! 🤔.. think there is a scripture for that..Proverbs 11:22-31🤷🏾♀️..
