Shalom!! Last week we spot on purpose and fulfilling a task righteously so that The Most High’s will be done.. EVEN when it seems like nobody else understands... and even when it you haven’t a clue as to how you are gonna to ________. As we learned last week HE chooses who HE wants and nobody can’t take that from you!
Who was Mary? We know she was a virgin and from the lineage of King David... According to Luke 1:26-27 says An angel Gabriel was sent from The Most High To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.... Just from that scripture we see she was was just a young teenager... because in those times, young girls were groomed for one purpos- to be a good daughter, wife and mother. The parents in the biblical days took Proverbs 22:6 seriously! So she was young lady of virtue from a town called Nazareth, in the hills of Galilee. She came from a honorable family who were descendants of Israel's greatest king, David. Now that we got a small introduction out the way!!
We have to know that Mary was brought up loving The Most High and desired to be a righteous daughter of Zion who abided by the law and was obedient to her parents hence we know she would make the perfect wife! Let’s keep going ans see what the scripture says Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, The Most High is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with The Most High.
She was told “fear not” (Isaiah 41:10) because remember dear sisters.. Your FATHER KNOWS IT ALL!! What Mary was about to be told, would put fear in anyon... but she was in good company!! Noah also found favor with HIM (Genesis 6:8) Esther found favor with HIM (Esther 2:15-18)... and guess who else: Proverbs 18:22
