SELF CONTROL CHALLENGE!!

One of the biggest culprits to controlling yourself is ANGER! That pesky lil spirit travels quick tooo.. Before we have time to even catch it..🗣💁🏾‍♀️ We feel the need to explode with our mouths.. why tho? Especially when the scripture tells us BE SLOW TO SPEAK.. 🤔 Well 1. HE knows HIs children😂 we are loud..stiffnecked.. and always think we are right! Not all the time sis.. 😐 1 Corinthians 8:2

But I am here to tell you sis.. try this during this challenge.. it’s gonna be hard🙌🏾.. BUT you are built for this.. Remember, everything you need to conquer self control is already instilled in you.. alls you gotta do is activate it! Ok.. so next time you feel that “need to spew anger” mustering in the lowest part of your stomach... Try to remain silent and hear the other person out: Usually when u don’t listen.. and quick to speak.. U may miss valuable information that sometimes get misconstrued.. Also while listen recall the scripture of you feel it coming up to the throat area:

🙏🏾James 4:7-10 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up

💁🏾‍♀️ ok ok..I’m sure that’s too many words to remember in the heat of the moment.. so try this short cut that I use when I need it: Submit.. Resist.. Be Humble! Them three things especially in unison makes satan mad and he gotta flee! I even say you gotta flee cuz My FATHER says so.. then just take some breaths.. and get that spirit in check before you answer! Now this it the tricky part: ALL MATTERS DONT WARRANT A REPLY!! It’s ok to be silent (Sirach 26:14says a silent woman is a gift and a well instructed mind is valuable) ... OR When I say “ok” sometimes ppl think they won the argument 🤷🏾‍♀️ Who Cares.. that lil small victory for them means they may have warn the battle.. BUT LOOK WHO JUST CHOSE TO OPERATE IN FRUITA OF THE SPIRIT BY CONTROLLING THE SPIRIT AND WINNING THE WAR!!
