Final Act: Tabitha..The Reaping

Shabbat Shalom dear sisters!! Praying your Sabbath is full of peace...

We last left off with how the other people was in mourning, showing Peter things Tabitha made for her.. I asked a question Why do you think she was called Dorcas? Simplest way to put it.. remember what I told yall what that name meant AND Sis Tabitha was loved by her own AND other nations.

Ok, this story on Tabitha is very short..But Powerful. Scripture continues Acts 9: 40-42 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord

The short version, Peter..was summoned to come, And we know why.. Listen, People all over heard of the miracles Our Messiah and the Disciples were doing across the land.. While it isn't mentioned.. Why else would they have gone seeking out Peter? Do you think his was done for Everyone who died? #SomebodyGonnaGetItOnThe2ndRead

I don't think so.. Tabitha made an impression on the people in her community, her light shined bright..so when she died, the darkness was felt. Matthew 5:14-16 says Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. LET your light so shine before men, that they may SEE your good works, and GLORIFY your Father which is in heaven.. #Bingo Her works I am sure caused others to praise The Most High as well..which is why it is so important to be Doers..[James 1:22-25].. Also, do you think Peter would have came if she didnt have good works within? IF she wasn't a follower? Ima gonna say, no..

Anywho, so Peter came and while it doesn't say much..what he did say is all that needed to be reported: Tabitha, Arise. And she did! NOT only that..but how many people do you think also was "risen" that day?? Go back and read verse 42! See we got to remember Romans 8:28 here.. HIS will be done. Period! On our sister call last week, we talked about how HE will use anything and one to complete HIS will.. Faith can move mountains my beautiful sisters.. While I am sure many will say " I wish we saw the dead rise up".. I say to you..you have. Look in the mirror. A spiritual death is just as worse as a physical death.. when you recall the scripture: [Matthew 10:28-39].. Tabitha reaped what she sowed.. Literally! Galatians 6:7-9 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not

It is important to know that three RIGHTEOUS acts were performed on that day:

1. The people believed

2. Peter believed

3. Tabitha was a believer [which is why she heard his voice]

The moral here is simple: Proverbs 27:2  says Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.. Tabitha didn't call out to Peter.. She could have when she was alive and asked for healing..but I am sure she felt like we feel sometimes "Ah, I am sure they are busy helping others..no need to bother them with this"... BUT your FATHER who sits High and looks low..sees all.. All you gotta do is follow HIS lead.. while u are single..and when you are married..follow you RIGHTEOUS husband husband's lead.. u can't go wrong with either path beloved..

#TruthIs ..If you sow the fruits of spirits..then you will reap good things. If you sowing workings of the flesh.. then ... well.. 🤷🏾‍♀️‼

🕯Be kind. Let your light shine.🙌🏾...Make your praise mean something!!!

‼Update *Finals this week so #WomenOfTheScriptures will be delayed OR it will be a quick run down on Judith since I already have something written up on her.. I will let you know tomorrow!
