đDo you show up for urself like you show up for others? Someone posed this question to meâ i was asked to ponder on it and self examine before I answered. The results: i know I donât like I should. i really sat there trying to make excuses as to why I put myself last.. and others first!đ˘..Is it ok that I donât know why though? Now I love a good convo with my good sisterâ cuz she always provokes me to think on these hard topics I DESPERATELY want to ignore!
đĽ´Why do some of us forget that we need to be present for ourselves just like we are for others. I know I take care of others way more than myself if Iâm being transparentâand When I look at the scriptures I need to do better about me, those like me.. you need to do better.
đŁ Let me tell you why! 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Our body is a temple that we should care for! 3 John 1:2 reminds us our health and soul are both important! And yes we do have a service to provideâ to help others.. (Phil 2:4, Luke 6:38, 1 John 3:17)..but when we love on others and forget ourselves we are in direct violation of the scriptures: Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31 all BOLDLY says Thou shalt love thy neighbour as đđžthyselfđđž. How can I not close up my bosom on others yet shut it for myself!? #ThinkOnThat then we are left looking for ⌠and thereâs nothing left. Whew!
So in closing.. I know some of us have this hard time of putting ourselves first.. loving on, supporting, being kind to ourselves first.. but if Torah says love others LIKE yourself.. we are out of order! How can u care for and love on another and not yourself? So letâs start taking care of our needs.. be kind to yourself.. get yourself something you want and appreciate what The Most High made: You. Psalms 139:13-16â¤ď¸
