Shabbat Shalom dear sisters!! I hope your Sabbath is starting off good!!!
So, we find here in Ruth 1:19-22 Ruth travels back to Israel with Naomi ..What I found interesting is that Naomi does some self Examination here..The people of the land was asking "is this Naomi"? Read below to see her reply... So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
We see here..Naomi is giving up some nuggets.. She was definitely of a sorrowful spirit. She left the land full, but returned home empty, poor, a widow, childless, AND she has a stranger [to them] with her... but our Power is one of restoration.. let's keep going!!! Now, Ruth is observing allll of this! Whew sis..I mean it is one thing to hear what you should be doing, but to see it in action EVEN after losing everything.. affliction is very hard sometimes..BUT neccessary...Naomi not only lost her possessions..but including her husband and children? YET..even in her lowly state.. she called Ruth daughter all throughout Ruth chapters 2-3..how profound us that..how do u think that made Ruth feel? We should see the message here.. Ruth showed her love, honor and respect..just like a child would her mother.. which is why call you my sister.. I could say friend..or etc...but we family and the same rule applies! Ok, so Ruth decided to work the fields to take care of not jus her but Naomi as well..look at how The Most High works this thing out.. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye..HE will guide you and IF you are willing..to let HIM.. HIS path is the perfect path..And it causes you to Move with purpose.
BUT what if Ruth was disrespectful toward whom The Most High paired her with? What if she wanted to venture out and do it on her own..see what's out there..go searching for a new husband [which was lawful because her husband died].. but she didnt lean to her own understanding.. Sis Ruth took heed and saw that Naomi was a blessing.. She was not only guiding her to be a great wife, mother, sister..BUT she was also leading her to RIGHTEOUSness. Hence why Ruth was like, nawl..I think I will stick this out with you and she later received her blessing which in turned BLESSED Naomi!!! #SomebodyGonnaGetItOnThe2ndRead
Ok Ruth is very long..BUT I want you to the message here my sisters.. Short version is Ruth ended up [Ruth 2] in Boaz's field which just so happens to be kin to Naomi..but we know NOTHING is by chance.. Allow HIM to guide u sis.. ok ok.. I jus love this book of the bible so much, I truly get excited at how it turned out!-So, out of alll the fields, she lands there and Naomi lets her know who he is and funny thing is Boaz is also inquiring about who this "Damsel" is- Naomi then starts grooming her for courtship little does Ruth know in Ruth 3..
Again, Ruth does what she says she doesn't rebuttal or ask well..why.. See, Ruth has already see. THE MOST HIGHs hand.. and she understands that her selflessness is what is igniting her favor...why would she go against that?? See, some of us, get comfortable and think we know it all..WHEN scripture is clear: 1 Corinthians 8:2 And if any man THINK that he knoweth any thing, he KNOWETH NOTHING yet as he ought to know.
⚠️When you step back and heed to the lessons, warnings, setbacks while allowing yourself to remain blameless act and labor in love.. HE moves... and HIS moves are purposeful..
💞For those who don't know, Boaz ends up showing kindness not only to Naomi, but also by taking Ruth as his wife..he did a great deed..You have to read it.. it is one of the most beautifulist love stories I have read.. She then bares a son with Boaz and they become the great-grandparents of none other than King David... #GoFigure..
Moral: Ruth's happy forever after isn't by chance..but purpose. Ruth was loyal to Naomi, she strived with her and returned the support and love she gave her im sure..ALSO the reverence she showed Boaz we all can learn a thing or two from both of these sisters..
📜 Reciprocity.. Faith.. SELFISHNESS.. Trust.. Support Blamelessness..Too many to name! Remember stay operating in the fruits of the spirit..and allow HIM to guide your steps just as he did Ruth...
