💞 Shalom sisters! Sorry for the delay! So we left off where David decided to take Abigail's advice and not to avenge ar his own hands. Which is why I always say it is important to always act in RIGHTEOUSNESS and be wise in your choices..THEN your husband's will take heed when your advising or addressing an issue. ‼If Abigail was unruly and loud.. do you think David would have even given her the time of day?? Heck nawl! Ok scripture time: 1 Samuel 25:36-43 And Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light. But it came to pass in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became as a stone. And it came to pass about ten days after, that the Lord smote Nabal, that he died. And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife. And when the servants of David were come to Abigail to Carmel, they spake unto her, saying, David sent us unto thee, to take thee to him to wife. And she arose, and bowed herself on her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let thine handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord. And Abigail hasted, and arose and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives. Abigail then went to Nabal, I assume to tell him what she had done..BUT Nabal was drunk.and having a feast.. so she did not tell him anything until he was sober..[another wise act on her part..] Proverbs 29:11 Afool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards and Proverbs 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. While in my opinion, sis had a right to boast lol, she just saved the whole house with conversation..but she waited until he was sober to tell him what she had done. Nabal was heart broken.. NOW, I don't understand why..but then I do. She had bruised his pride. Some men don't recover from that. It also said his heart to turned stone..so now you know he was treating her unkind and probably talking down to her about her actions. I am sure word got around that Abigail saved his life.. Now, Malachi 2:14 speaks on dealing treacherously with your wife.. AND Who knows what Nabal was doing to be honest, he was great but he let the enemy take rule over him and he jus acted disrespectful towards David. The scripture says do unto others as you will have them do unto you. Mark 12:31 says Love your neighbor.. long story short The Most High killed Nabal.. David rejoice that he was avenged by The Most High,and he REMEMBERED Abigail.. Sent for her to be his wife and she graciously accepted to join his house as his 3rd wife. The scripture she made haste! Lol. That sister respected the fact that he heard her and listened..
Moral:WAIT on The Most High sisters. Do not try to take matters into your own hands. We never know or understand HIS timing. Isaiah 40:31 says But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint ..in this case, Abigail waited on The Most High to move and ran right into the arms of David. When you are in dire situation..The Most High will fight for you..HOWEVER if you are fighting your own battles..then hey why does HE need to intervene. Be wise and RIGHTEOUS in your actions my beautiful sisters.. stay blameless and just has HE showed up for Abigail in this matter..HE will do the same for you.. UP NEXT 🎬 Vashti & Esther
