#WomenOfTheScriptures Shalom sisters! Here is our 1st #WomanOfTheScriptures! Eve. I have heard mentioning that Eve was not the 1st named women in the bible or Adam's only wife .. however, I have not see any other mentioned before in the bible or Apocrypha.. So that's that. We are gonna go with women who named in the bible and the Apocrypha. I am not here to debate.. So believe what you will.. But the bible mentions Eve.. so we are starting here! I do hope you understand 🌼 So, my personal vision of Eve was the picture below.. A woman who didn't look like me, who was seduced by a snake in a tree to eat an apple.. now growing up.. I didn't really relate to Eve. NOW... I know why.. I am a visual person..and again the image shared with me didn't resonate with me..I only knew this was how sin WILFULLY started.
🤦🏾♀️👇🏾👇🏾 Who is this??
Learning years later that Eve not only looked like me, but I exhibited a lot of her traits/ characteristics.. Especially the one we will discuss all week AND on our conference call Wednesday [if you want the details please email me dontdeletemesis@gmail.com or send me a message on here]..
But the first trait i recognized was disobedience. Though, a little bit off topic,I admired that when Adam named her, she didnt complain or anything! She didnt say umm why I gotta be named Eve..so we know that at some point she followed her husband's lead.. So what caused her to derail from that?? According to the scripture Gen 3 she didnt stray away all willy nilly.. BUT there was a seed planted AND it took root. Gen 3 starts off by saying: Now the serpent was MORE SUBTIL Than ANY BEAST of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Which brings me to my 1st point. We know we are ONLY to take directives from our husband. There is a reason why we are to ask him if we have questions [1 Cor 14:35].. So lets move down to Gen 3:2-3 Eve is letting us know that Adam gave her a directive that was given to him and he alone in Gen 2:17.. because she answered satan: And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: BUT of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye SHALL NOT eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. So she was told by someone! Yes, Adam. So Eve knew NOT to eat from the tree.. however, she continued to engage in conversation..Why?? Ok, soo here is my issue..1st off NOBODY can tell me to go against something my husband said, and 2. ESPECIALLY when it came directly from thr FATHER.. so let's think about why would Eve?? I know some of you would.. hence these lessons.. we all have things to work on! Sooo..How did that old subtil serpent satan respond? In verse 4-5 we find out: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. BOOM! He gave her some sweet intriguing words.. 2 Tim 4:2 is a perfect example! So today topic is all about why did Even continue or even start a dialogue with an unfamiliar entity??... Let's let that marinate! 🎬Act 1: Obeidence is better than sacrifice!!!
